Only God could show Himself to be the Only Light, in the deepest, darkest, dankest belly of a building.

Only God could give utterance to the depth of their souls and the hunger of their hearts.

Only God could bring unfathomable contentment and peace.

Only God could lavish such love, Himself, upon them.

Only God could cause the elegant, oral expression, of such a pure, tender love for each other.

Only God could provide a safe, secure place where the heart fails to judge in any form.

Only God could equip them with all their gifts and talents, all uniquely designed to be used for His Glory and purposes.

Only God could divulge and unravel the mysteries of their purposes and destinies together.

Only God could draw them together for a night they would never forget.

Only God could know.

Because only God could.


Only God could mend the broken heart and fill it with so much.

Only God could design something that fits together so perfectly.

Only God could make people matter more than a building or a space.

Only God could take the frightened and bring courage.

Only God could make a cave a sanctuary.


Only God can make a smooth landscape out of jagged-edged lives.


Only God could take a life-altering encounter with Himself, and with each other, and whittle down to so few words for a blog.

And… only God could leave us all speechless.
